Can Alcohol Delay Your Period

India / Korea: the shock!

And now, two planes later, here I am in Seoul:) I squatted in the future-ex my cousin's apartment, in a very nice and not far from his job. The change is radical: this country (at least its capital) is over-developed! Tall buildings everywhere, neon signs, giant screens, big streets armored cars ... No wheeled bin as we see here in France! Their subway is very modern, clean and disturbing. By cons people are a bit like the French in the subway, autism and not breathing the joy of life, dressed in dark colors. The only difference is that they all have great phones and they enjoy trips to watch videos. In short, I went from a hot country, messy, dirty and living in another rainy, cold and modern. It's so funny, I feel already back in Defence: / Here I am in the middle, nobody looks at me like an alien.

restaus There are everywhere, their food is excellent. I think between here and Japan, I can regain the lost kilos dozen stairs in India. We has already made one of their famous barbecue last night with the grill in the middle of the table and a hood just above. This is great to eat meat, I forgot! Lunch is based soups or salads with 7 or 8 vegetables and mushrooms in small cups where each pile. The apartment is super quiet, too quiet, but where are the guys who scream in the hallways, prayers in mosques to 5am, the sounds of trucks and rotten dogs that howl to death?
Seoul has its share of attractions, I started with the main one, the palace of Gyeongbokgung. A visit Free English takes place every day, it started a few minutes after my arrival, I so enjoyed. We were only 4, almost all say it was a private guide:) The palace was built in the 14th century by the first king of the Choson Taejo. This line lasted until 1910. Meanwhile Japanese invasions that destroyed the palace was rebuilt in the 19th century, and re-destroyed again by the Japanese during their occupation of the 20th century (1910-1945). In short it is still much left, only a few gates and royal pavilions remain. The king had 500 servants and 150 eunuchs, only men who could stay the palace at night, just for his apple. Like what megalomania knows no borders.

Inside the palace is the Folk Museum in Seoul. It is divided into three galleries very well done: a gallery on the history of Korea from the Paleolithic to the present day, a second with a 19th-century Korean village during the 4 seasons of the year, and a final depiction of life nobles Korean caste Yangban. Again, everything is well oiled, clean, the lights dimmed, the arrangement of objects, explanations, everything is done to make the visit enjoyable, and it succeeded. I have not seen him pass the afternoon:) Today it was really too bad, I preferred to stay warm in the apartment, I resume the exploration future. I take this opportunity to organize the rest of my trip. Mag this weekend we planned a trip to the mountain to take the air out a little from the hive and hopefully find a face a little more picturesque Korea ^ ^

Kates Playground Piercings

One last big city ...

Chennai my last big city before leaving Korea. Better known under its former name, Madras, the city has 4 or 5 million. Contrary to the view my media guide is a nice place and I think he authentic enough, at least the neighborhoods that I visited in last 2 days. Yet it is true that there is not plenty to do for tourists, the government museum, a few temples and the fort St. George.

Saturday was perhaps not the ideal day to visit the museum, dozens of buses have poured hundreds of children in galleries throughout the afternoon. A little complicated to focus on explanations when the charming toddler scream, run and chime into you every 10 seconds. Finally, it was for the gallery and the Zoology Museum for Children, by strangely cons galleries, architecture, botany and geology were calmer:) The museum is housed in a superb series of British colonial buildings called Pantheon Complex. One of them, inspired by the Mughal style, is sumptuous. It houses the art gallery. Partially under construction, part of the museum was closed. Locally, employees work in galleries open to the public works or exhibits were simply pushed to the side. It is then possible to see the skeletons of elephants and deer heads stuffed mix with cement bags and trowels. In the Bronze Gallery, a guard asked me to exchange € 1.50 rupees cons: it was another of those alleged foreign coins that collectors are supplementing their income by asking currency to all tourists who pass by, then the change in Indian currency .

for once I chose not to visit the temples of Chennai, perhaps wrongly, but I think the Tamil Nadu earned me an overdose of temples. Anyway I did not have time to do everything, I preferred to walk around the St George Fort , bordering the Bay of Bengal. Nothing to see inside, but the buildings that occupy it are interesting in themselves. These include the Legislative Assembly Secretariat, St Mary's Church and not far from the fort, the High Court of Chennai. It is a gigantic building style Indo-saracene dated 1892, red brick, supposedly the second largest judicial building in the world. On the picture you can see only the gate, the rest being partially hidden by trees. Other buildings in the same style are scattered in the center of Chennai, including the central station. Tomorrow I will find

my dear cousin in Seoul, I think the atmosphere will change radically ... I intend nonetheless continue writing the blog from time to others:) I am for 3 weeks, this should be enough for a first visit to this tiny country ^ ^ I just hope that there will be fewer mosquitoes, here's a real nuisance!

The tourist village of Mamallapuram

My last week in India (before the come-back in 2 months) began with a meeting of concentration within the Matrimandir, the giant golden golf ball of Auroville. After a short introductory session on Auroville, our guide, an Englishman of about sixty years, we ushered in the monument. With instructions to observe complete silence and don a pair of white socks. Via a corridor Access to the interior, we see a small fountain located below the Matrimandir. All around the Indian and European workers employed in the construction of gardens. They are also very detailed part of the dream of the Mother, the original dream of Matrimandir. Inside, a large empty room with white marble, lit by an orange light very diffuse. Two ramps opposite helically along the walls, provide access to the room concentration at the very top of the building. This is where we settled on white carpets arranged around a crystal optics, the center of a room round. Only one ray of light filter through the top of the room and just light up the crystal, which in turn reflects the light in the room. The session lasted 15 minutes in total silence. I have not really been able to concentrate but it allowed me to clearly see the scene. Unfortunately photo point was of course strictly prohibited.

A bus then brought me to Mamallapuram, where I still am today. It is a small city of 15,000 inhabitants on the coast, which is somewhat reminiscent of Hampi: dozens of small temples on a fairly large area, a landscape of huge rocks which hold in balance magically. The most famous is the Krishna Butter Ball, favored by tourists for photos deficient. In the same area is a relief of several tens of meters into the rock and carved depictions of deities and Hindu myths. Other temples are carved into the stones around, all in a small well-maintained park and crowded with tourists.
In the main street, dozens of small souvenir shops and jewelers are aligned in the middle of the many guest-house restaurants and comfortable lounge. We hear everywhere the sound of hammers and chisels, some stonemasons even offer introductions to passersby. At the end of the village, the beach is invaded by small fishing boats and men mend their nets. Their catches end up in the same restaurants for tourists. Walking a little further along the beach you can see the Shore Temple, a small temple began in the 7th century and dedicated to Shiva. The area around Mamallapuram contain other monuments and sights. I will rent a bike this afternoon to visit the Tiger Temple and the edge of crocodiles.
