The excellent emission Footprints on France 5 has a documentary devoted to Annette Messager, great female personality (without being a feminist) of contemporary art. As pointed the movie title modest and public , Annette Messager is a media artist, she does not engage easily. So slowly, delicately as the film reveals the course of this highly sensitive artist since her childhood.

Annette Messager upsets me from the inside, just like Louise Bourgeois. His report to the body, sexuality and the unconscious pleases me. His attachment to childhood, its mixture of tenderness and cruelty, especially his bizarre touch me.
Annette Messager, modest and public is still visible a week on the site of France 5, I would strongly recommend it.
